if you need to go, you need to go...

alt : http://www.youtube.com/v/hnwlj6Xi_bU&hl=en
now that i listened to my voice (in the pro panel before IMAZ race) i can understand how screwed i was in the respiratory "system" :P it sounds really weird.

but its a fun reflection on a very interesting subject...way to go Mr Lovato :D

Sergio dias could give very valuable information on this subject

reality check

swim sucks

but im fine out of the water, especially running.

this is my conclusion after the first few days of scheduled training.

i did a 2000m time trial in the pool and i was 40 seconds slower than pre Ironman Arizona, and that sucks. i lost a lot with my forced stop, the clock says so.

But im ok riding and actually surprised with the run "speed"

not much to talk about other than like i promised, my IM Florida bad boy look (or not) is back. like it or not....its done, maybe it will bring some bad boy results like last year :P

back to focus

Tomorrow i will start my focus on my next big race of the season, Ironman Lake Placid AKA Ironman USA .

its mid season time, and of course, early season was rather disappointing, i had a great focus on IM arizona and all went wrong with 10 days to go. It was a great winter of training but the cherry on top of the cake wasn’t there...

Disappointing but already past. i spent a week trying to feel better, the days after IMAZ i was really really destroyed, both physically (sick) and mentally. Past week i have been doing some very light workouts and tomorrow i will start again.

I was at the Lisbon triathlon giving some technical support to the race and that was really tiring, but smelling the triathlon again sure gave me an extra boost to start my "mid season"

other than this...i will shave my head soon LOL

back home, im fine thanks (not)

yesterday night i got home and the bad days continue.

where to start, delayed first flight to Dallas, delayed flight to paris, missed flight to lisbon, paris airport evacuation (security issue but dont know what), new flight 5h later, flight left on time arrived on time but waited 30 min for luggage to come out, 2 checked bags in Phoenix, no bags in lisbon (my duffel and my bike box), waited 30 min to make a claim. Started raining very hard when i left the airport not to mention its cold, rain make traffic even worse, got home 7h after my initial travel plan, all this with about 1h of sleep (at paris-lisbon flight) and a huge Headache all the way.

im fine thanks....

actually, at least im feeling better after a 10h sleep, most of my hillness syntoms are gone but im not well yet. hopefully it will happen soon

just like my blog...

"montly tranfeer limit exceeded"

just like me...

well, yesterday was just a consequence of the past 10 days. i really dont know what happened but my imune system just cracked after i came back from california, and was neverabble to recover. I had someone asking me to not race but i gave it a shot and i lasted around 3.5h.

It sucks to have one of the best winter training ever and not being abble to see what was the result of it. Tough!!
today im having a hard time with my health, a result of trying to race yesterday of course. so i apologize to my friends (from portugal)for not being there for their slot takeover and the awards banquet.

I was there till the everyone was finished, they all did well, at lest better than me :(

-Sergio Dias looked very good at the end, finished 4th in the age group and has a kona slot
-Helder finished around 15 min behind, 6th in the age group and with slot, im happy fo him as he is the guy that wanted it most :D
-Hugo was 8th i think of the 40-44 age group and i think he has the slot too. I also lost my bet with him (i needed to beat him by 1:30h so i guess i lost it)
-Codinha didnt look good going out to the last loop of the run and finished at around 10:50 witch is not bad but its not enough for the kona Slot

Also my friends and direct competitors (:D) on the race, Jordan did Awesome, im happy for him 3rd overall, and very close to win it, you rock. Jonnhy, my training buddy for the last month and probably the guy that suffered the most with my cursing during last days had some bad luck during the ride but kept it together for a 6th place finish, that is great given the circunstances.

well thats it, not always the race day is the cherry in top of the cake, for me it was the other way around
