ouch

Back to portugal…

Challenge France was an awesome race, congrats to guy Hemmerly for putting together a great race. Even the weather was nice at least compared to saturday :P

For me it was a total flat day, the best part of the day was maybe the swim, i think it was pretty decent for me and i was close to leave the water with Beke, just a few seconds. The rest was very very flat, me…not the course :D

the bike course is fantastic and has some good hills, to write the least about my ride i averaged 222W, yes 222Watts thats how flat i was

the run was very very tough, almost a Xterra (altough i never raced one or even ran in a xterra course) and i wasnt abble to say what normaly i say…”saved by the run”….not this time.. i had no legs today (sunday)

either way i enjoyed my time there and the race was awesome, “road to lake placid” starts now :P

oui ça va

Left a wet lisbon and got to Niederbonn with a threatning weather, at least its not raining and hopefully it will remain this way, its a bit to cold though.

i flew to stutgard and drove 150km to get to the venue, its quite an awesome place, beautiful.

couple of photos of the place im at.. a “challet” :P

its nice, trust me :D

training wise, i have been doing a LOT of intensity lately, since i recovered my health. With a lot less volume of course, last sunday i was really tired from all the “fast” short duration stuff, i different way to feel tired i guess. but will enjoy a few days of easy workouts to race here. I already had a chat with Rutger Beke, he is right next to my challet, about several things,  race course, heath, training etc. He is racing with a time trial bike and that makes me a bit more relieved as that would be my only option :P

now that i listened to my voice (in the pro panel before IMAZ race) i can understand how screwed i was in the respiratory “system” :P it sounds really weird.

but its a fun reflection on a very interesting subject…way to go Mr Lovato :D

Sergio dias could give very valuable information on this subject

reality check

swim sucks

but im fine out of the water, especially running.

this is my conclusion after the first few days of scheduled training.

i did a 2000m time trial in the pool and i was 40 seconds slower than pre Ironman Arizona, and that sucks. i lost a lot with my forced stop, the clock says so.

But im ok riding and actually surprised with the run “speed”

not much to talk about other than like i promised, my IM Florida bad boy look (or not) is back. like it or not….its done, maybe it will bring some bad boy results like last year :P
